An Understanding of Candles

I have been working with candles for a while now, and candles are often used in various spiritual and ritual practices. Different colors represent different energies, intentions, and meanings. Kind of like clothes, when your wearing certain colors, it sets off your mood for the day. Most people don't realize the impact of just a simple day to day routine.

Still, candles have been used all over the world for over 5,000 years. Yet, no one knows who truly invented this ray of light. When people think of candles, they may see them as just something to set the mood, or a romantic setting with your lovely sweetheart, or even celebrating a birthday and blowing out the candles to make a wish. These are just a few things that we utilize candles in our lives.

The Saints are a traditional Catholic symbol that are truly looked upon for guidance and reassurance.

The Candles that I loved to keep lit are Archangel Michael, Mother Mary, Saint Martha, the Virgin of Guadalupe, and the list goes on, depending on what I want to have help within that moment.

Here is a short list to give you a few examples of what the candles mean:

Archangel Michael

Archangel Michael is used for Protection.

Whenever you feel fear or a sense that something is wrong, call upon Archangel Michael to help. He is always presence at will be in tune in an instant. Lighting a candle to him, gives me a sense of relief that my home and family are protected. I feel that Archangel Michael is always with me.

Mother Mary

Mother Mary is used for different purposes.

I call upon Mother Mary for guidance, reassurance, and when I feel doubt in myself. She is also good to call on, when children are in need. She is so loving and shares her love as she did for Jesus.

Saint Martha

Saint Martha is used for guidance for women.

She is called upon to help women during troubled times, whether it being a relationship or just in general. I think Saint Martha is also a good Saint to work with, however, I've heard that this Saint may work with you, or may not work with you if she chooses it to be for not a worthy cause. I think she is wonderful.

This is just to name a few of the candles that you can personally work with, and enjoy over the years. There are a lot of Saints out there to work with, all you have to do is ask for their help. There always there to help you during troubled times and good times.
